Rev. Dr. Travis Lionell-Curtis Warren was born on January 13, 1966. He is a native of Virginia. At the age of eight (8), he accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and was baptized at Third Baptist Church, Petersburg, Virginia. Dr. Travis Warren sensed God’s strong call to the ministry, and on December 16, 2001, at Third Baptist Church, he preached his first sermon. Leroy A. Cherry, Pastor, licensed him to preach “The Gospel." He became an ordained minister in the Commonwealth of Virginia in October 2002. He now serves as the Pastor of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Blackstone, VA. Dr. Travis Warren strives to exhibit a servant's heart and a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and he is committed to personal spiritual growth and prayer. As a Minister of the Gospel, he believes he has an awesome responsibility to “rightly divide the word of truth” (2nd Timothy 2:15) and to preach “The Gospel” to God’s people.
He attended and graduated from Matoaca High School in June 1984, and he attended Electronic Computer Programming Institute in Norfolk, Virginia. After attending college, he served in the Army for four (4) years active and four (4) years Army Reserve. Dr. Warren attended and graduated from Virginia Union University School of Theology, Evans Smith Leadership Program. He was listed in WHO’s WHO Young Professionals 2007 & 2008. He attended and graduated from United Theological Seminary with a Master's Degree in Religious Studies. In 2019 Dr. Warren received his Doctoral Degree in Religion from Tabernacle Divinity. He is a certified Senior Chaplain with Chaplain Fellowship Ministries. He attended and graduated from the Petersburg Bureau of Police Ministers Police Academy in 2010. He serves as a chaplain for the Petersburg Police Department. He is a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains. Dr. Warren serves as the current president of Tabernacle Divinity School.
He is married to Letitia Kearney Warren of Franklinton, North Carolina. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Sylika and Marquita, and two sons, Daniel and Sytoi. Five grandsons and two granddaughters. He is an entrepreneur owning two beauty salons. His favorite scripture is 2nd Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight:” It is his desire, with God’s guidance, to faithfully preach and teach “The Gospel” of Jesus Christ and to provide leadership by demonstrating the fruits of the spirit found in Galatians 5:22; which are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, righteousness, and truth.
